windows vista being weird

I have my system Intel Pentium D 805 1GB PC 4200 200GB SATA Nvidia GeForce 7300GS and I used the windows vista upgrade advisor and it said that "WIndows Vista Upgrade Advisor could not run WInsat. SYstem compatibility status could not be evaluated." So then I ran the windows vista X86 version setup and it was running fine so I walked away and came back about an hour later and it said "Windows Vista could not be installed.
Your
previous version of WIndows has been restored, and you can continue to use it. Before trying to install windows Vista again, check online to see if your system is compatible with windows vista. <http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId-60497>" Please help! Thanks in advance for any help given.

Wow!!! Same thing with me...I'm trying to find the answer to it too!
